January 17th, 2010 · Posted in SERMONS · 0 CommentsI have posted my sermons from last Sunday and today on my sermon blog. I was very busy last week and did not take the time to post last week’s sermon, but that is ok because the one from last week and the one from this week really go together.
Last Sunday afternoon at Hopewell Presbyterian (the Church I serve) we had a celebration of ideas we believed God blessed us with developed during a “season of prayer” we had with small groups meeting last fall. Last Sunday’s sermon — based on Isaiah 43:1-7 and Luke 3:15-17, 21-22 — was a look at how God calls us to a glorious future and an invitation to the congregation to join us that afternoon as we shared what we felt God was calling us to be doing. Today’s sermon — based on John 2:1-11 — was a review of some of the ideas shared last Sunday and a look at how God can change us.
