Ministers #8 In “Prestigious Jobs” Survey
September 22nd, 2009 · Posted in Current Affairs · 0 CommentsThe Harris Poll has published a new poll on “the most prestigious jobs”. Every year they ask folks what jobs can be considered prestigious. Here are the “top prestigious jobs” for this year:
Firefighter (62% say “very great prestige”),
Scientist (57%),
Doctor (56%),
Nurse (54%),
Teacher (51%), and
Military officer (51%).
Ministers ranked 8th in the poll.
Here’s the “least prestigious”:
Real estate agent/broker (5%),
Accountant (11%),
Stock broker (13%),
Actor (15%)
I believe that ministers deserve a higher rating — but I’m sure my opinion is biased!
