Combo Wedding and Child Baptism Services

It would be different if the Church offered the Wedding Service and Baptism Service later (at least 9 months later) — but it appears this is a double ceremony to take place on the same day!
I have performed Wedding services for couples who have had or were expecting children. I believe that God forgives sins. A Wedding service is an important act for those who want to begin their lives together as a new family. I also believe that Baptism is an important step for parents to take as they dedicate their children to God and promise to raise them in God’s ways.
My fear is that offering a combination Wedding / Baptism service seems to be trying to “go along with the times” a little too much! The Church needs to be open and accepting of all people who want to come and discover God’s will for their lives — but it also needs to teach God’s will also.
