More On Acts 16:5 Initiative

Several of the members of Hopewell’s Session and I spoke yesterday about The Acts 16:5 Initiative — a program from the Vital Churches Institute that our Presbytery is offering to the churches. This is an exciting opportunity for us to have trained consultants to work with us and help us see what God might have us be doing as a Church in the community and the world. I posted a link to my comments about the program earlier if you didn’t hear them yesterday or want to read them more carefully.

I hope you want to know more about this program. There are many site with information about The Acts 16:5 Initiative — The Vital Churches Institute’s web page is a great place to start — and doing a google search “Acts 16:5″ or “Vital Churches Institute” will get you to links that will help you understand the program. One of the most helpful expilnations of the program that I have found is this PDF document.

We need several folks to join us at the “launch” — March 30-31 at First Presbyterian, Sumter. We need everybody praying about this!

Anyone out there know more about the program? If so, your comments would be most appreciated!
