Good Bye To A Friend

This is a picture of our “children” — our dogs and cat. One of our dogs — Rascal (the black and white Shitz-Tsu on the left of the photo) died during the night last night.
He was around 9 years old and we had him around 8 years. We bought him when he was a puppy from a family who moved into an apartment and could not take him with them. They say that people try to live up to their names. This must be true with animals also. Rascal was certainly that — a rascal! He could be feisty — demanding — and very protective. The name Shtz-Tsu means “Lion Dog” — so he lived up to the breed! True to the breed also, though, he could be loving, wanting and giving affection, and loved to be close.
We’ll miss him!
