What Is Evangelism?
October 26th, 2008 · Posted in Christianity, Evangelism, Practical Christianity, Practical Ministry ·The word “evangelism” scares a lot of folks — but it shouldn’t. The bottom line is that evangelism is sharing the best thing in our lives with others.
Here’s a definition the Presbyterian Church has adopted:
Joyfully sharing the good news of the sovereign love of God, and calling people to repentance, to personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, to active membership in the church, and to obedient service in the world.
(Definition adopted by the 202nd General Assembly of the PCUSA, 1990).
I like it.
