Reflections On Holy Week: Saturday

March 22nd, 2008 · Posted in Holy Week Reflections, Reflections, SPIRITUALITY, The Church Year ·

Jesus’ Burial Holy Saturday is the day Christ lay in the tomb. It is a day of reflection on what Jesus has done for us, and the price Jesus paid for our sins. It is also a day to recommit ourselves to Christ, who suffered for us.

Yes, we know that Easter is coming — but we also know that the victory we have over sin was paid for with Jesus’ blood. Use today to think about what Jesus has done for you — and how you can recommit your life to serving Him.

Lord Jesus, You have suffered and died for my sins. Let me recommit myself to You, so that I may serve You and follow Your ways. Amen.
