Advent Devotion 12/4/07: Waiting Is Not A Passive Act

December 4th, 2007 · Posted in Advent Devotions · 0 Comments

Today’s Advent Devotion from the Goshen College web site is from Isaiah 11:1-10.

We all find it hard to wait for anything — but this time of year we may find ourselves waiting more than we like to — in lines at stores, in traffic, etc. Here’s a tip on what to think aobut while you wait:

As you wait this Advent season, be it in line at the store, in traffic on the highway or for the joy of Christmas day, remember to anticipate with joy the day when the little child shall lead the calf, the lion and the yearling together, the true day of peace on earth, goodwill towards all.
