Keep The Message Simple
July 23rd, 2007 · Posted in Practical Ministry ·This post from Crosswalk’s Pastors Resource reminds me that the message the message the church gives to the public needs to be simple and easily understood.
Christ calls us to reach out to the world with the message of His love. If a local Church complicates that by not being as inviting as they can be, not investing in the best ways to advertise their activities, not having a web site that is inviting and that contains up to date information about what they offer, or even something as simple as not having a clear answering machine message that gives the times of services and other activities they offer, they are not giving a clear message of God’s love, and their concern for those who are looking for a place where they can experience God.
The message we need to give the world is simple:
God loves you.
We love you.
We’d love to have you join us as we celebrate and share God’s love.
Try to make sure your Church is communicating this message in the simplest way possible!
