“Fueling” Outreach

I try to encourage the members of Hopewell to think of innovative ways to reach out to the community. Here’s one:
A Church in Oklahoma had a campaign where they paid 20 cents of every gallon of gasoline at a local pump in a one hour period. I don’t know how much they spent — or if any of the folks they helped started attending the church — but I’m sure it was appreciated!
It seems like a great way to serve others, which is what Jesus calls us to do, whether we directly benefit from it or not! You can read about it here.
I’d love to hear some other good, innovative outreach ideas.
