Purpose Driven Life: Day 4 — Made To Last Forever

That’s how Rick Warren begins the 4th day of The Purpose Driven Life.
Life is just a warm – up for eternity. Eternity offers us only 2 choices — spending eternity with God in heaven or spending eternity separated from God in hell.
To have eternity with God in heaven, we have to live with God here on earth. Warren quotes C S Lewis as saying:
“There are two kinds of people: those who say to God “Thy will be done” and those to whom God says, “All right, then, have it your way.” (Purpose Driven Life, p. 37)
We need to live our lives here on earth in the light of eternity. When we do this, we not only have eternity with God here on earth, but our values and changed here on earth.
Are you living your life in the light of eternity?
Prayer: Lord, help me to remember that you have promised eternity with You in heaven to those who will life for You here on earth. Let me live my life for You, and show You to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
