Do Christians In Other Countries Have Something To Teach Us?

This topic has been discussed for years — but it is important — especially for those of us who are North American Christians — to remember that Christianity is growing rapidly in other countries around the world.

This article
at ChristianPost.com brought this back to my attention.

Here’s one way the article describes what it refers to as the “younger churches”:

Compared with Westerners, Jenkins observes, younger churches demonstrate “much greater respect for the authority of Scripture, especially in matters of morality; … a special interest in supernatural elements of Scripture, such as miracles, visions and healings; a belief in the continuing power of prophecy; and a veneration of the Old Testament.”

It would appear that Christians in these other countries have something to teach us. Maybe — as author Leslie Newbigin once suggested — Christians from “third world” countries could send missionaries to North America to teach us about the faith.
