The General Assembly

Before I leave for vacation I wanted to ask all of you to be in prayer for the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA) meeting in Birmingham, Alabama this week.

They are dealing with — and will be voting on — a lot of “hot topics” like the report from the Task Force On Peace, Unity, and Purity (aka The PUP report) and divisive issues.

If you want to keep up with the official news of the Assembly you can go here or here — or you can go here for reflections from one of the commissioners.

Pray for peace!
