The Events of Holy Week: Thursday (Part 2)

Thursday of Holy Week is the day Jesus instituted the Sacrament of Communion.
As He gathered with His dsciples the night before His crucifixon, Jesus took the bread and the cup from what I believe was the Jewish Seder Meal they were celebrating (although some doubt this was the meal they were partaking) — and gave the bread and cup new meaning (Matthew 26:26-30, Mark 14:22-26, Luke 22:14-20).
This is my body — broken for you
This is my blood — shed for you
Regardless of how many times I say these words or celebrate the Sacrament, they give me chill bumps.
Lord — Help me to always remember what You have done for me — and always reach out to others with Your love.
