The Lent Challange: Day 16

March 18th, 2006 · Posted in THE LENT CHALLANGE · 0 Comments

Today’s passage in The Lent Challange is Mark 5-6.

Jesus ministers to all people — even those that others would have nothing to do with — like Gentiles that are possessed by demons (Mark 5:1-20) — women with hemorages (thought to be “unclean” by others) (Mark 5:25-34) -— and even dead people(Mark 5:35-43).

He is opposed by many with power (like Herod (Mark 6:14-29) and the religious leaders) — but continues to do what God sent Him to do — and empowers the disciples to do the same(Mark 6:6-13).

May God empower me — and all Christians — to reach out to all in need, regardless of the reaction others may have.
