The Lent Challange — Day 8

These chapters give us a vision of who Jesus is — and who Jesus calls us to be. From the Transfiguration at the beginning — (17:1-11) to the parable of the Unforgiving Servant (18:21-35) some of the disciples (Peter, James, and John) get a vision of who Jesus is — then teachings on how Jesus calls us to be.
Did they “get it�
Did they understand who Jesus was — and who Jesus was calling them to be?
I really don’t think so — at least not yet.
I’m not sure we do, either.
Or at least I’m not sure that I follow Jesus and who Jesus is calling me to be very well. At least not yet.
Maybe as I travel with Jesus and the disciples during Lent I will become more committed.
