Time was people really feared witches, etc and I think the mockery of the powers of darkness is a good thing. It's hard to take a witch, ghost, or vampire seriously when they want candy. The rememberance of the saints was put here to clash with pagan holidays that glamorized and honored the powers of evil. I’d disagree with your position.
