Rev Bill

I am starting something new today.  I can’t promise I’ll do it every Sunday — especially after the NFL football season starts — but I want to start a weekly post to give a "tip of the hat" to bloggers who link to my blog or make outstanding comments. I enjoy blogging — and want to thank those who have let me know they are reading my blog either by comments or by links.   

This week there have been several who have linked to my blog. 

The mid - week exchange with PBS Wathcer helped me think about my ideas on responses to terrorism.

My  post on "Do You Have To Be Right To Be Religious" drew a link and posting from The Talking Donkeys – a site I had never visited but am now glad I did.  It is sometimes good to know there are politically progressive Christian bloggers out there! I must say, however, that it’s Rev Bill — not Rev Mike. (They must have gotten me confused with another Presbyterian minister in North Carolina who blogs and attended the same Seminary I did — though not at the same time!) Anyway — I appreciate the link — and will take the confusion as a compliment.  I hope Mike will. 

My picture in the top right corner of my blog drew envy from the "dog pound" over at FIDE-O . At least the location of the picture drew envy. And yes — Myrtle Beach, SC is a wonderful place to visit — and I really would not mind living there!  Speaking of FIDE O – I love the pictures on their blog!  I’m not smart enough to do the graphics like they and Pyromaniac do — but I do enjoy them — especially the "You’ve Been Spotted" and the "Squealing at BHT". I was barred from entering the Tavern a few months ago because I was "too Calvinist"  — but I still keep the "drinking monk" link on my site and drop by to peer in the window from time to time.  I may try to enter again soon — maybe since I will turn 50 next month they will consider me to be "of age" now.
